Space of Social Environment Counter-shift

This program managed by Universidade Livre do Meio Ambiente together with Secretary of Education of the City of Curitiba deals with children and teenagers aging from six to twelve, who live in the city surrounding areas.

Implemented as Environmental Piá, by the city government of Curitiba, in the poorest environmentally degraded areas of the city, Ecos Program adequate for the present reality has thirty-three units at different parts of the city.

The space allows for the existence of a pedagogic program, with alternatives to complement the development of these youngsters for the full exercise of their citizenship.

The methodology used is based on specific objectives distributed in the following workshops: Follow-up of Studies Workshop, Workshop of Creation, Workshop of Environmental Conscience, Workshop Want to Play and Workshop of Movement.

Counting with supporting technical experts, among the administrators of the Units and experts for the pedagogic support, the program has presently 3,291 attendees.
