On the book Cities for a Small Planet, 1997, the English architect Richard Rogers – known for the high level of technology that he usually uses in his projects, places Universidade Livre do Meio Ambiente as one example of architecture adapted to nature. “Unilivre architecture continues to surprise visitors and myself, with the same impact of many years ago. This sends me to the natural and artificial environment of its surroundings, that still remains, but the work sustains itself as different and innovative within the architectonic ambience.
